SQL Server Reporting Services' flexible architecture accommodates conventional data sources and the new SOAP-based XML for Analysis (XML/A) specification. The report rendering engine's XML Web service interface delivers tabular and graphic elements to browsers, Office XP and 2003 documents, and—through an ActiveX Report Control—rich clients.
