Seems like there's a new version everytime you turn around. VS 2008 is the best yet, but as always, it takes time to get up to speed and be sure that all the 2003, 2005 apps are happily ensconced on this latest.

i generally like it, finding what you need is getting a little cumbersom, but over all it's good. I still have to split my time between VS2008 and VS2003 and what a difference between the two. 2003 is quicker, but 2008's helpfull tools out weigh the speed sometimes.

Still Bug Ridden. Crashes frequently. Very difficult to Debug Silverlight applications. Documentation worthless.

It's starting to do implement features Eclipse has had for years.

SP1 has solved most of the problems I've encountered with VS 2008 RTM. However, using Entity Framework as a data source for ASP.NET Dynamic Data now requires a separate Web.DynamicData.dll and patch. I've also found strange behavior with databinding to EntityCollections of associations.

It's great. I would still like to see a more intuitive means of including data files in Click once deployment though.

Where is the XSD Designer I really hate having to keep VS2005 around so that I can design a schema visually....

Great but debugging tools are slipping

The UI is good. Finding help on even the simple items is like digging through a landfill looking for something you accidentally threw out last week. The slick features are more than overwhelmed by the time wasters.

Visual Studio and MSDN Headlines on Start page are very stale and out of date.

I find things a little slower on 2008 than on 2005. I also miss in HTML view - when you paste attributes, 2005 would place them in a specific order - it was easier to find attributes after this... Other than that I am pretty impressed

SP1 took a very LONG time to install. It would have been much quicker just to install a new version from scratch.

It has intermittent problems with package loading. I don't know why it is i9nconsistent in its behavior.

Documentation is severly lacking useful content.
